本次LPN Cruciform 学术沙龙,我们邀请到了英国帝国理工机械工程学院高级讲师——王礼良老师作为主讲嘉宾,为大家绍材料成形技术的历史,现状和未来智能轻量化制造技术的发展方向。

材料成形技术是一种用模具对金属坯料进行锻造成形的过程。材料成形技术已有7000年历史,这项古老的技术随着冶金材料科学的发展在现代工业依然起着重要的作用,每年用于生产15亿吨钢材,5千多万吨铝材。90%以上的金属制品是通过材料成形技术来生产的。该项技术中的一个重要环节是用有限元分析方法来仿真建模,解决复杂的力学和结构分析问题,以预测成型过程和性能,直接影响材料成形的精确度和效率。王礼良老师还介绍了基于云端的有限元分析思想和研究,旨在帮助工程师方便可靠地分享和获取数据和模型,完成多目标建模,制定高附加值制造策略。王老师以汽车生产为例,介绍了整个生产流程,包括概念设计,零件设计,模具设计,材料供应,模具制造,锻压,焊接,组装,烤漆,检验,出厂等众多环节。传统的生产流程中,各个环节各自相互独立,信息交流很少。现代工业4.0强调收集每一个环节的数据,进行分析和优化。智能成形则更进一步,提出利用计算机辅助工程,例如基于云端的有限元分析技术,实现环节内部和环节之间的数据收集和互联,使得上下游的供需更加合理匹配,实现可定制化,有助于提升生产的效率,节省成本,是未来材料成形和智能工业的发展方向。

本次讲座内容丰富,深入浅出,讲座之后,参会人员与嘉宾进行了深入的跨学科交流和探讨。本次沙龙由伦敦大学学院李会良博士和帝国理工宋平凡博士组织。

【主讲嘉宾介绍】

王礼良,英国帝国理工机械工程学院高级讲师,博士生导师,中车四方 – 帝国理工轨道交通制造技术联合研究中心常务副主任;哈尔滨工业大学英国校友会 会长。王礼良领导的帝国理工智能轻量化制造研究团队目前有19名研究人员,其中博士后6名,博士研究生13名。王礼良在金属成形技术的开发以及成形过程的有限元模拟方面拥有丰富的经验,是智能轻量化制造领域的国际知名学者。截至目前,作为第一导师已经指导了33名博士生和硕士研究生,发表学术论文90余篇,多次受邀在国际学术会议中作大会特邀报告,拥有多项国际发明专利并获得多项英国及国际学术奖项。目前担任IJMTM,JMPT等20余个学术期刊的审稿人,担任ICHSU; ICDM等国际会议的科学委员会成员。


Material forming technology is a process of forging metal billet with a mould. Material forming technology has a history of 7000 years. This ancient technology still plays an important role in modern industry with the development of metallurgical materials science. It is used to produce 1.5 billion tons of steel and more than 50 million tons of aluminum every year. More than 90% of metal products are produced through material forming technology. An important part of this technology is to use finite element analysis method to simulate modeling, to solve complex mechanical and structural analysis problems, to predict the forming process and performance, directly affect the precision and efficiency of material forming. Mr. Wang also introduced the idea and research of cloud-based finite element analysis, which aims to help engineers easily and reliably share and acquire data and models, complete multi-objective modeling, and develop high value-added manufacturing strategies. Taking automobile production as an example, Mr. Wang introduced the whole production process, including conceptual design, parts design, mold design, material supply, mold manufacturing, forging, welding, assembly, paint baking, inspection, factory delivery and many other links. In the traditional production process, each link is independent from each other and there is little information exchange. Modern industry 4.0 emphasizes the collection of data in every link for analysis and optimization. Intelligent forming went further, using the computer aided engineering is put forward, such as the finite element analysis technology based on the cloud, external links and internal links between the data collection and interconnected. This makes the more reasonable match, the upstream and downstream of the supply and demand customized. It helps to improve production efficiency, cost savings, as a material forming and the development of intelligence industry direction in the future.

This lecture is rich in content and easy to understand. During the lecture, participants and guests had in-depth interdisciplinary communication and discussion. The Seminar was organized by Dr. Huiliang Li from University College London and Dr. Pingfan Song from Imperial College London.

【Guest speaker introduction】

Dr. Liliang Wang, Senior lecturer and doctoral supervisor of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College, Executive Deputy Director of CRRC Sifang — Imperial College of Rail Transit Manufacturing Technology Joint Research Center; President of Harbin Institute of Technology British Alumni Association. The imperial Intelligent lightweight manufacturing research team led by Li Liang Wang currently has 19 researchers, including 6 post-doctoral students and 13 doctoral students. Wang Liliang has rich experience in the development of metal forming technology and finite element simulation of the forming process. He is an internationally renowned scholar in intelligent lightweight manufacturing. Up to now, as the first tutor, he has supervised 33 doctoral students and postgraduate students, published more than 90 academic papers, and been invited to give special invited reports in international academic conferences for many times. He has a number of international invention patents and won a number of British and international academic awards. At present, he is a reviewer of more than 20 academic journals such as IJMTM and JMPT, and serves as member of the Scientific Committee of ICHSU, ICDM and other international conferences.
