【Event Report】Introduction to the Development Policy for Overseas Talents Returning to China
At 4:00 pm on June 26th, Beijing time, the Overseas Returning Station and the London Ph.D. Alliance (LPN) jointly held the online event “Publication and Sharing Session on the Development Policy of Overseas Talents Returning to China”. With the strong support of the Development Foundation, the activity has achieved remarkable results and has had a broad impact on overseas high-level talent groups.
01 Purpose of the policy briefing
This activity will give full play to the role of returnees serving overseas talents as assistants, aiming at the common issues that overseas high-level talents are concerned about in their development and life in China. (Scientific research and teaching, job hunting, self-employment, settlement, professional title evaluation, talent planning, etc.) gave special explanations and experience sharing, and solved the worries for overseas talents returning to China in advance.

The event is divided into four parts
#01 Employment settled
Cheng Ming, Deputy Director of the Study Abroad Division of the China Overseas Talents Development Foundation, explained the employment of state-owned enterprises and the Beijing settlement policy for masters and doctors, and introduced the choice of employment and settlement in detail through cases.
#02 University Research
Associate Professor Liu Bo from Beihang University shared the “Returnee Research Development Road” for overseas talents who are ready to return to China to engage in scientific research.
Dr. Liao Xing, the founder of Returnee Station, shared with you the things you need to know and pay attention to when returning to China to start a business, as well as the support policies for starting a business, through his own entrepreneurial experience.
#04 Online Q&A
The three guests and overseas talents jointly conducted an online Q&A session to quickly solve various problems of overseas talents.
03 Display of work results
In this event, nearly 500 doctors and postdoctoral fellows who have the intention of returning to China watched the live broadcast online and interacted with the guests. After the event, the Italian Student Federation, the Swedish Student Federation, and the Russian Federation of Students widely reposted the event video, which has been broadcast accumulatively. The number of times has reached nearly 2,000, and it has been well received by overseas talents. It has also fully allowed overseas students to feel the enthusiasm and care of Haidian International Students and Creation Park, China Overseas Talents Development Foundation and Returnee Station.
Recently, the Returnee Station and the Haidian International Students and Innovation Park will continue to cooperate with overseas high-level talent organizations to organize a series of activities that are helpful for overseas students to return to China and provide better and better services for overseas students.
